How could a name change alter the "essence" of a person? But equally oddly, how could you imagine that your perception of the "essence" of aliases (or of the people behind aliases) which you create in your own mind from posts, has anything to do with the real essence of a person? I suppose it might, but then again it might not. And you simply have no way to know.
