PB, why didn't you stay on the road? Would making a cellphone call have kept you on the road? People drive slower while making cellphone calls, so if you lost traction, perhaps you wouldn't have skidded. If you nodded off, the stimulation of making a cellphone call and talking would have kept you awake. There is probably an excellent "Stay Awake, Stay Safe" phone business opportunity here - phone a HOT GIRLS line, and get spicy conversation [not too spicy of course because that could lead to problems]. People would not nod off.
