McAuliffe is a Clinton puppet. After Tuesday's disaster the Democrats will boot him, and thus boot Clinton by proxy. Neither of these guys will flush down the sewer without making a lot of noise about it. That noise seems to be the only strategy left to the left in this last 5 days-and it has failed miserably.

The Democrats would have been far better off walking away from William the Bastard during the 1999 impeachment. The damage has been done to them already. But by finally turning their backs on him and his errand boy, McAuliffe, after Tuesday, that venerable party may be starting on that long, long road back...

A president has an obligation to provide economic leadership. Bush has failed at economic leadership. Nothing across the line about that criticism.
