I am not that into the detail of technical analysis, but the kind of straight up move the sox has had is not normally sustainable unless there is a change in fundamentals. all of us who have prospered the last few years understand enough about economic conditions to know that the only change in economic fundamentals is likely to be negative.

the valuations of the semiconductor stocks are as ridiculous now as it was after their late feb/early march 2002 moves, and given that business was booming in 1999-2000, their valuations now may be even more ridiculous than they were two to three years ago.

that said, I hope that the market doesn't prove that it can remain irrational longer than I can remain solvent. <g>

as a follow up to my post, if Fred Hickey is on time, his latest newsletter should be faxed to me tomorrow morning. I am sure he will be heavily short.
