I say "Amen!" to every word of that, JLA. Hammer, nail, right on head.

The relationship between myself and Neo is the same as it ever was.

I'm very glad to hear that since it seems to be important to Neo. IMO, the most painful aspect of this entire episode to watch has been what appeared to me to be genuine confusion and pain on Neo's part over the way he was treated when he was simply trying to do what he thought was the right thing. I agree with you that friends should be able to disagree and to be honest with each other. I'm glad to hear that I was mistaken in my assessment of the situation and that all is well.

I guess I should comment on this. I think that JLA and I are on an even keel, now. For awhile, I thought we might not be able to avoid a break, frankly, but we seem to have managed. We have been friends for quite awhile, despite serious temperamental differences, and I thought his behavior on this thread was mostly pretty good until things went haywire with Christopher. His politics are sound, he is a mainstream conservative, and there are not many issues we have serious disagreement on. A lot of times I think his irritability is reasonable, although I think he is too prone to shoot first and ask questions later, and, in any case, consider it better to be more restrained. Ultimately, I think he is a good guy......
