ROFL...Why? The New Deal didn't work the first time. Also, Hoover proposed many of the ideas that actually survived the scrutiny of the courts. The only new and interesting proposals I have heard during this recession have had a decidedly libertarian cast - end double taxation and tax on interest, etc.

The only way out of this recession (or depression) is to allow the system to flush, and to encourage entrepreneurs to create jobs after the flush is over. The solution is NOT an elaborate system of price and production controls, and make-work programs (the New Deal).
