Amnesty International accuses Israel of war crimes

Screw AI.. They are so biased as to no longer have credibility in the area of Human Rights..

Had an interesting email exchange with one of the folks from Human Right Watch, where I pretty much harangued them for not covering the HR violations by the Palestinians over the past year. But at least they have given SOME coverage to suicide bombings and such, whereas AI has done nothing, at least that I can find in their press releases, discussing Palestinian atrocities.. And furthermore, HRW is also condeming suicide bombings in Sri Lanka, whereas AI has said nothing there.

HR is a very pollitical area... And AI is one of the most biased of them all.. There certainly is little exclusivity with regard to who commits human rights violations, and certainly Israel is not the most agregious perpetrator of them..

HRW also says the UN report on Jenin was seriously flawed:

staging.hrw.org

They assert that there is evidence of only 23 civilians dying in Jenin, with another 23 militants killed.

And btw, HRW is just as hard on Israel as any other HR group. What I like is that at least they are trying to view the atrocities being committed by both sides as equally evil.

But in my opinion, the fact that militants set up shop in a civilian area and used it as their base of operations, indicates to me that THEY are the ones using civilians as "human shields", and placing civilian populations in danger.
