beer is fine......try michelob ultra.....im a drinker...but that has no effect on insulin levels....as alcohol is not a source of energy....carbohydrates and body fat is the only source of energy....eliminate the carbs from you diet and body fat will provide the energy you need till its gone.....(along with the weight)...then you can put carbs (preferably the complex type) back into your diet...
