No New Spending at Verizon
Monday November 4, 1:47 pm ET

By James J. Cramer,

Oops, no new spending from Verizon (NYSE:VZ - News) despite all the hoopla. That's right, on the big Verizon call the company reiterated that it doesn't need to send any more money, and doesn't need to buy anybody to do this new business initiative.

In fact, the whole conference call and initiative by Verizon is something of a nonevent or worse, because there were lots of telco-equipment stocks that were running on a belief that Verizon was about to increase spending.
