So chrissykins, who do you want to control all that oil? I have no problem if US companies compete to develop it. Do you have a problem with American companies competing in international markets? America has the best, the brightest, the expertise to be most productive and that means all win with lower prices. You have a problem with reliable inexpensive sources of fuel????? I wonder are you just plain stupid... Well I don't wonder actually.

Turkey, though, is really going to HATE this... because it foreshadows the disintegration of Iraq along ethnic lines, the emergence of a Kurdish nation, and an Iranian-influenced region in the Shia south of Iraq (something the Saudis are also going to HATE). >>> Turkey has publicly threatened to go to war if the Kurds declare an independent nation... so I expect that will happen gradually: First they grab oil fields, second they negotiate a high level of autonomy from the post-Saddam powerless Iraqi government, lastly they use some pretext to declare officially the first Kurdish nation in history.
