Each event has taken place in an odd numbered year and each on an even numbered day. In each case, the number of terms to which the president was elected, has alternated between single and mulitple (i.e. Harrison 1, Lincoln 2, Garfield 1, McKinley 2, etc.). Ronald Reagan was the first president who did not die as a result of this 'curse.'
