KC, it's the same here. Increasingly, police are starting to look like shakedown racketeers rather than keepers of the peace and protectors of the public.

Absurdly low speed limits enable them to catch lots and lots of people and make a LOT of profit. We have now got 80km per hour speed limits on motorways but 100 km per hour on twisty, narrow little roads, winding through hills, where doing 70 kph would be impossible [with any kind of safety]. So, we have effectively no speed limit on hazardous roads and mindlessly slow speed limits where people could safely drive at 160 kph.

People who crave authority and bureaucracy must undergo lobotomies at birth or maybe they have a repressive upbringing. It might just be that they have limited intelligence.
