Joe: Re: "I can't believe the guy would post such drivel. Does he think we are going to rely on somebody he met in a hot tub?

You have to take it for what it is but remember "from little acorns oak trees grow".

The reason I have read every post over the last 3 or so years is in part to get a feel for the character of the posters. Accordingly I find myself making investment decisions, based in some small part, on an anonymous entity called Slider, one called Isopatch and another guy who "says" he's a "central banker" and a motley crew of other assorted posters, misfits and layabouts (g) who have nothing better to do with their time most of the day but sit in front of a computer screen. However I attach more weight to their input and writings than statements and writings from Alan Greenspan, Tony Blair or George Bush combined.

By the way, for a change, an interesting piece from Palestine/Israel which shows that the Likud don’t have it all their own way, and there are some decent Israelis who are trying to inject some sense into the situation. There’s a chance yet I think.

same place as the JPM rumor two weeks ago
we all have opps to obtain pearls of wisdom in the most unlikely places
the guy worked at the Cleveland Fed for 20 yrs
I wonder who I might meet next out of happenstance

you focus on the hottub location
I focus on the man's experience and perspective

sounds like you focus on form and superficialities
I focus on substance and deeper stuff

good luck to you if that is the case
I offered the conversation for what it was worth
I can see people would make money off you at flea markets

LJ. <Drivel>? Hardly.

You meet people where you meet them.

Some excellent contacts have come my way in the most unlikely and unexpected circumstances.
