hi john i use the netscape email client, messenger. i have never bothered with the filters. i get about 5 or 6 spam emails per day (if that). i delete 'em the second i see that the subject header pertains to something like mortgages, sex, software or investing. i'm ruthless when it comes to deleting suspected spam. i've probably deleted email from people i know, just because i didn't recognize the sender. but i consider spam to be a problem well under control on my computers... and it has a lot to do with an on-going practice of not even opening the suspected spam. sorry i can't help you with the html question. :) mark
