I found the site below. I hope it helps:geocities.com For a story of the Hajj, or pilgrimage:bbc.co.uk By the way, I am perfectly happy to try and answer your questions but you will have to wipe that smirk off your face and be an adult. Personally, I am equidistant from all religions, but it annoys me to see your disrespect. >>Up until Sept. 11. I was tolerant of all religions but because of Sept. 11. it became necessary for me to try to understand why a religion ( islam ) would murder so many innocent people. Try to understand that it was not the religion of Islam, and not even Muslims in general that attacked WTC. It was a terrorist organization. And their reason for attacking it was NOT their religion, but their aggravation with US foreign policies as it affected them. They attacked the US and not another Christian country, and I believe there is a reason for that. >>You said "there are no saints or objects of worship between the Muslim and his Allah." >>Ya, so why do they need all the fancy mosques, why not just worship from their home. Because of a sense of community. A lot of Muslims worship from their homes. In fact, it is very impractical to go the mosque five times a day. If they like to worship together, I don't see anything wrong with that, except that the place probably smells of dirty socks, but that is their problem. >>Cut the crap zonder Try to keep a civil tongue in your head otherwise our new-found friendship will be very short-lived indeed. >>they want big churches just like any other religion >>so they can impress others and make muslims who enter feel small. Big monuments are normal in any religion. I think you have missed my point - there are no ICONS, STATUES, or PAINTINGS to which Muslims worship. >>I don't know what is inside there churches so you tell me are there any pictures? >>statues? symbols of any kind? >>Any articles of value such as gold or silver trinkets? For crying out loud. First of all, they are not "churches" but "mosques". Second, as I have said before, there are no statues, symbols, or pictures in a mosque. No "silver trinkets" either. Are you finding it difficult to understand what you read? I told you that there is no icon worship in the Muslim religion. There is not a single depiction, anywhere in the Muslim world, of even their prophet Mohammed. Jeez...
