Why is that bad? I never said it was bad. I was just saying that we would all be better off if he didn't reach a position of such power that he could thwart any competition. It's not just him, it's everyone. One way to prevent that is through progressive tax rates. People who work hard or get lucky can get rich, however it becomes increasingly harder to get a lot richer. There is an incentive to decide that enough is enough, an incentive that I think is needed for a stable society. The real problem comes when someone like Gates has a total idiot great grandchild who is still immensly rich and powerful through no effort of their own
