... and why would that be? (eom) You tell me, zonder. Amnesty does it to other democracries too (I think they spend more time decrying the US than say, Syria or Iraq), but Israel as always is the most acute example of the double standard. Access is certainly one factor. Political chances of having an effect is another -- why waste your time screaming about a horrible regime that couldn't care less about what you say, if you can scream at a democracy that is sensitive to criticism instead? And for Israel, pc and affirmative action in warfare.
