I've been close friends with most all the judges in the past thirty five years ..... haven't been but five total ... for some reason the 6th Dist is the one mostly for criminal trials and the 62nd nearly exclusively handles civil .... both the guys before the current 62nd one were very close friends of mine ... both agreed, during the thirty plus years they were there, that it was fruitless for me to even appear to on the panel .... both of the DAs were friends of mine, too .... EVERY time I would be called up ... not only did I know the prosecutor, and the defense atty ... but most of the time I knew the criminal TOO ...... I was told about twenty years ago that I needn't even bother to show up .... the DA said that without a doubt I knew MORE criminals than did he ....... hehehehehehe it was HIS contention that I was doing the best I could to stay off the wrong side of the Grand Jury ..... LOL matter of fact .... I've NEVER served on a jury YET ...... have been dismissed mayhaps twenty-twenty five times ......gggggg and I grew up with the guy currently serving in the 6th, and had season tickets to HotSprings horse races in partnership with the guy he replaced for more than fifteen years and *HELL NO Cuz Paul ain't NEVER voted for such as Slik and Weenie*
