What another country might have done has nothing to do with whether or not Israel is doing the right thing, less so as a defense against my point that Israel is committing human rights abuses and is not sensitive to criticism about it. >>Hint: check out the wars in Chechnya, Algeria or Sri Lanka for clues Will it make you feel better if I say Israel is being slightly more human in its treatment of the people whose land it is occupying than Russia? How is that good? Is Russian state your moral benchmark?
