thanks I am starting to use the message filters feature under Edit, and yes I also delete ruthlessly and have deleted messages from friends..... just thought that all I need is a filter that deletes HTML messages ... thanks john

thanks Mark and sultan ... I have no deletion ability with right clik ..... or at least in the version of OExp I'm using ..... and right now, the box I have the email on is disconnected from the network .... so I can't look just at this moment ... but, I do know I have NO deletion ability on right clik ... what I've been doing ... and it is a LOT cumbersome ... I log onto my email account with an account I have in Mail2Web .... that will let me delete any/all messages without opening ... but when I forget and go straight to OExp ... well, there I am .... ggggg
