I think if we as a society were able to catapult a person into office (who had never held a state position) we could have the best of all worlds. Its the very system of running that creates corruption in our leaders. By the time they reach a position of power they have been bought and sold. One thing that really makes me mad is that the Teachers union has vowed to go on strike if McCallum is elected. When I heard that it changed my vote. It seems to me that most teachers want campaign finance reform yet they continue to fund a union that throws its weight and funds one candidate. I don't see how a person can feel good about doing that when they so strongly support legislation against it
