of course I'm out of control... no sane individual can make money in this mkt. I made lots of money on the long side since August. The market bottomed in July - August. What occurred in September and early October was public panic selling with pros running away because the pros knew the public would take it a lot lower. Even so, the ET flow numbers which had already diverged positively from April '01, and made a series of unprecedented higher lows ever since, were going straight up while the public was selling and the bears were howling just like the bulls at the top. It's the nature of the fifth count. What do you think of the bea Liquid data announcement... Nothing. I think you know software and web services. They're marginally profitable. .. is this significant? No. I don't know infrastructure only apps. Huh? I worked with one of the first teams to do an app server last year and they loved weblogic. That's your first indication that it won't have much impact on the bottom line. Why do you think any of this is any more valuable than it was before July? What has changed?
