Brian I'm sorry you feel that way but you have failed to answer even the first question I asked you "Polycarp was a disciple of the apostle John, Where is his testimony that would substantiate the C.P. position?. The Apostles creed and the Nicene creed are both clearly looking forward to the return of Christ and the resurrection. If you wish to camp on a point this would be a good one to start with. In other words, "where's the beef?"" I have no beef with you or from you. Your position is unsubstantiated by history and you have no answer except to repeat one-sided and unbalanced proof texts. Frankly, Preterism reminds me of transubstantiation, which says the substance of the bread and wine are transformed into the actual body and blood of Christ while the surface remains unchanged. Jesus returned but we just couldn't see it? The dead were also raised only everyone missed it? Death has been finally defeated and people only seem to die. The kingdom is here, only Lions still eat lambs and war, death and famine are the order of the day?? Immorality injustice and blaspheme are everywhere, but you have had an untestable and unsubstantiated revelation!!!!! WOW!!! I guess that settles it? No one has ever had the TRUTH until you and your fellow Apostles arrived on the scene 2000 years later. Thank-you for your time Brian Greg
