Yes you have good points. I am not sure if there is even any point in pursuing it at this point. People did like to come here partly for the topical discussion and partly for the wrangling. Even Kholt says she has given up hope on reviving interest in the thread. Many others have left in disgust.

What I suggested could take place right here on the thread, as far as that goes. It is all that ever needed to happen. Its not like anybody is watching (or cares) after all. I thought the privacy format would be more conducive to sincerety on both the parts of Poet and CH. I am not worried about forcing anything on CH. It is entirely his choice to participate or not. Whether or not it is sincere would be known only to CH in any respect.

No body is going to get him to say uncle, but a mock apology (like he was doing last week) would be a waste.

There is of course the he-said/she-said risk, and others.

I don't expect much. I would be surprised if any effort was made. Too bad, this thread had a lot going for it.

Thanks for the feedback.

"What you are asking for is not a sincere apology, a sincere apology is not forced"

And it won't be forced, even though it be encouraged. As to whether it is sincere...only one person will ever know: others may only guess...
