>>If anyone has buy and sell signals based on equity put/call numbers I'm curious what numbers are significant in your experience.<<

An equity PC close below .45 is a warning sign, but we got four such closes in August before the top.

An equity PC close near or above 1.0 is generally bullish, but much more so in a non-expiry week (there have only been two non-expiry week closes around 1.0 in the last 10 years, I think, on October 8, 1998 and October 3, 2002).

Umbrella manufacturers and worms love the rain just the same.

TOM,

“ Funny Money ” the exclusive reservoir of Central Banks is the propellant of present rally. IMHO. Good luck and GOD bless this last attempt to save the rain forest.

Kind Regards
ED

PS. Perhaps I can interest you in a particular correlation. Emulation of buzzing and chirping mating sounds of the poisonous dart frog- a splendid looking inhabitant of the rain forest- mixed with todays Media Babble has produced extraordinaire -a world financial clock works - which can govern where the criminal insane fail to steer.

ADDENDUM

TOM,

A general inducement. Not to be seen as a invitation to an argument as you seem to do ok. Therefore I am not talking to you in the picture but rather to people thinking that old fashioned T/A is nowadays in 2000 correlating to short term stock events.

My call to go to 100% cash at the open on November 6th is not looking too good today! I sold the qqq at $26.35 and now here we are at $27.73. My timing model continues to indicate the market to be overbought so I'll sit tight and see what happens.
