But X,

IMO, a person has to set an example for their children, in this case voting their conscious and explaining and talking about why... Because how else do we achieve progress ?

But everybody operates different.. And that's the way it ought to be, I guess..

Activationg kids politically is really important to me. For the last few elections I have sat down with my kid and we go over voter's information and we decide how "we" will vote. I was so proud of her when she asked where the money would come from for a clinic that she wanted to see built.

On election day she goes a tad late to school, so she can go with me to punch the ballot and get her own "I voted" sticker. She worked side by side wiht me in this campaign, learned about the voter database, entered data, stuffed envelopes until the wee hours, eating pizza and chinese food with the campaign staffers.

I think that in the next few years we will participate in non-partisan youth voter activation programs, and get out the vote projects.
