Libby,

I am not sure that the Republican control of the Senate is impetus enough to send the markets on another bull run. Perhaps we get a feel good rally for the near term but the economy is still what it is. I would think that it would prevent a precipitous decline through the recent lows until sometime next year if/when we still don't have a solid vision of recovery.

I agree that the campaigning "style" of the group of Democratic strategists and leaders that were successful in a more prosperous and peaceful time hurt themselves this time. The Wellstone funeral was appalling.

Since I am net short right now, I need to make a call on the extent of any burst out of the gate tomorrow. Perhaps a 10:30 cover and 2:10 short?

<<I think news of a major Republican victory will be seen as positive>>

I agree. The problem is the if the democrats don't win they'll just hold us hostage like they did in 2000. I mean....how could the party that holds the Moral High ground not be elected right? I mean they love the poor so much they wont even allow a voucher system in our public schools.
