Lol... quite a cultured fellow you are sir.... I moved to the mid-east a few years ago and have seen none of the "slums or tents" that you aforementioned.... Quite the contrary, perhaps you should examine the GDP's and general standard of living and compare it with the rest of the world - or even your own back yard ghetto's where crime, murder and drugs are a common and accepted way of life. My advice, turn off CNN World Report and do a bit of individual research......you may learn something.
