Well said! Especially when America is being attacked by enemies, it is more than in bad taste to be so encouraging to those that hate us.

Absolutely. This has got to be a real wakeup call, and they need to make some changes or they'll be more marginal and powerless than the UN.

Hi Bill,

I agree that in general, the election was a disaster for Dems, but as a Dem I think the next two years are going to be extremely difficult for the ruling party, what with an almost-certain repeat of terrorism on our shores and a faltering economy. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Republicans handle things.

And then I'm looking forward to another Democrat in the WH and a Dem-ruled Senate..... :-)

BTW, what, specifically, is the hatred in the Democratic platform that you referred to?
