we will attack the easiest target in Iraq

I predict that within a week the inspectors will be preparing to go back to Iraq. The war is no longer necessary as an election distraction. It will be saved for the next election after the inspectors have taken their GPS systems to every conceivable target in the country.

"All kind of spending will be unleashed". I agree, and capital gains taxes will be cut, corporations will get additional tax cuts, the budget deficit will head way south. The feds are going to be sucking up a lot of money from the private sector, so interest rates, and interest payments on the debt, will both increase. Probably privatization of SS will be back on the table. I'm sure glad it wasn't privatized during the last several years; my SS is doing better than my IRA.
As for the tax cuts, the Repubs realize they are in competition with the government for our money. If we pay less in taxes, there is for more for us to give to them.

Off to visit my mom overnight. CU.

Re: since USMilitary either doesnt know where they are, or doesnt have the balls to attack them inside Saudi Arabia, where they are hiding, we will attack the easiest target in Iraq

Jim, you're too young to know this, but, thanks to Harry Truman the National Security Act of 1948 removed these decisions from the military and placed them in civilian control. I had the joy of experiencing this first hand when Johnson and McNamara would sweep their hand over a map and we'd have to pack up and move the battalion out of an area where we were just beginning to develop the trust and confidence of the locals and work with the ARVN province chief. Naturally, there would be an underlap before another battalion moved in to cover the same villiages to find the new school burned to the ground and, the village chief and the school teacher shot.

Now, please tell me Jim, where do you get this information that the US Military doesn't have the balls to do something?...you been sittin' in a hot tub at the Pentagon Officers Athletic Club? Did they happen to mention anything about the Church committee that resulted in the elimination of the foreign hunmint program and the crippling of our national intelligence services...or, that if targets are identified and located by national intelligence sources and then GWB so directs, they could turn Saudi Arabia into a beach parking lot. You know that the way the system works is that the President decides the direction of the parade...his direction is regime change..you know this too...

you know all this stuff, Jim...Why in hell have you gotta bust the balls of all those in the military who've put it on the line for the likes of your skinny ass that have never walked one damn mile in our mocassins...???

End of rant......jj
