McAuliffe certainly sends my blood pressure up and his continued presence would certainly be a plus for the Republicans, but I don't think that he survives. I am absolutely convinced that he is one of the main reasons for the high level of partisanship in Washington. The difference between him and Racicot is significant. Chris Matthews has repeatedly made the comment that he feels the need for a shower after every encounter with McAuliffe.
