People are willing to pay for the things they want. They object to waste, graft and fraud. They object to unnecessary programs and programs targeted to the few.

Moreover they have a right to bitch about anything they please. If a little bitching gets even an efficient program to operate better, bitch away.

I agree with Dave's idea about "smaller" and "closer to the people" being better when it comes to government, but since I don't see how roads are going to be provided by the private sector I support adequate government spending on transportation.
