Eric, Here we are 25 months after the "Commercial Launch" of 1xRTT and the largest cdma carrier in the world, in the largest cdma market in the world, currently stocks 4 1xRTT handsets, 1 1xRTT PDA, and 1 1xRTT modem card, and none of those 4 handsets with the "Qualcomm 3G CDMA" label allow 1xRTT data services on the handset ...

My (bitter) complaint exactly. The classic Hobbesian choice, no functionality (handsets) on VZ VS. uneven network coverage on PCS.

The one 1xRTT PDA you refer to is the Thera? If so, I've been told that the KYO 1XRTT flip phone/pda is due out this month. Any intelligence on that?

tia,

quid

Why moan and groan against Q for Verizon's failings?

Isn't you complaint one that should be directed to Verizon? Something along the lines of "Hey, jerks, why can't you do what Sprint does so nicely?"

Eric re: 2235

You need to sign up for the Express Network plan (and be in Express Network coverage) to get the higher speeds through the wife's 2235. Also need the Mobile Office Kit (cable and software)

Otherwise you'll putt along at 14.4

best of luck
