AS, I was just discussing that. a 10 year chart of the U-6 would put the numbers more in perspective.

On thing that I am thinking is that when we think about the fed, we tend to think in terms of the stock market. The healthiest thing for the stockmarket would be a major selloff to bring valuations into a reasonable range. If the fed is trying to stimulate the economy, maybe this is the best path. Unfortunately for stock bulls, this 50beep cut is likely to precipitate a selloff.
