Wouldn't make a difference there.

If the NJ courts had followed the law and not allowed Lautenberg to be placed on the ballot, I think (and the Democrats obviously agreed) that the Republicans would have won that seat, for an additional seat in the Senate. The law was clear; the judges just decided they should override the clear statement of the legislature through its deliberative processes and change the law on their own to benefit one political party.

Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, Green, Libertarian, or whatever, that should disturb you.
