Nice hanging man in the BKX, but TRIN is surprisingly low under the circumstances. It's hard to get a big correction when there's no selling pressure.

Sold half my longs and bought some golds anyway, FWIW.

We were all staring in at our screens in disbelief
after that sharp puke, with our mouths hanging open, wondering whether to buy or sell <g>

Actually, when I saw the 50 BP cut I thought we'd rally straight away; it was the puke that caught me off guard, (but was appreciated because it allowed me to cover the short I entered minutes before the announcement).

Anyway, we'll probably see an overseas bounce that will lead to some kind of follow through, especially with the CSCO news. It looks like we got our "trifecta" after all. (Republican victory, 50 BP rate cut, CSCO beating estimates)

Just checking in (still on semi-vacation here)and I have to say I continue to be surprised. I have really underestimated the upwards momo here. At least C did not negate its breakdown, actually a very nice wedge retest.

If (a big if) we do get a wee more up tomorrow and then dump, the waves actually become very clear to me in tech. We would have done a very clean a-b-c off the lows with a running correction in there (ending on the 29th). Not sure in non-tech. But bull counts have us into a '3' of '3'. Look out above!

If tomorrow is a high, then it would be the end of this leg of the corrective up and it may be done altogether but it looks awfully straight to me. A long ugly 'b' down could be at hand. Anyone got some nice turn dates in December? Paul?

I would also note that I think Max pain has risen on the QQQ to 24.
