Heck, eliminate cap gains on stocks and watch them bubble again.

I think what should have been done in the rush to lower capital gains on stocks real estate etc. is to first index it for inflation, so that nobody is paying capital gains taxes on capital not gained (in real dollars). After this fundamental problem is removed, I would have less of a problem with the rates where they are. Adding indexing could theoretically pave a way for a consistent rate of capital gains taxes on all gains, from short term, long term and real estate.
