I do believe this is the question. While I've been known on this thread as a "right-wing extremist", the reality is I'm more in the center than that. My criteria center around honesty, integrity, fiscal responsibility, and national defense. I find the extremist support partial birth abortion to be the left-wing equivalent to some of the extreme positions of NRA. Other than the extremes, I don't much care about abortion, gun control, animal rights, or the environment.

I think the strong center-left is preferable to me. I have nothing against Wellstone, but I really don't see that someone that extreme makes much of a contribution -- similarly with the extreme Right. Just one man's view, though...
