Al, <Show me how there have not been conflicting policy statements coming out different cabinet members of the White House.>

I already have. Everything revolves around disarmament. Going through the U.N. is mainly P.R. since everyone knows how irrelevant U.N. resolutions are. Advocating regime change is stating the obvious: that Saddam will not willingly agree to disarmament.

Disarming Iraq is the ultimate goal, and Rumsfeld has made that clear time and time again. So has Powell (the so-called "dove" that liberals love to bring up). If we can do that through diplomacy, great. If not, other means become necessary.

<I have made my case. Make yours.>

The only thing consistent in your arguments is your belief that Bush just wants oil. If that's what you want to believe, be my guest. I've heard those arguments made during Desert Shield, and they turned out to be nonsense. Why should those arguments impress me now?
