I don't think there is anything for me to celebrate. I hate to see Natural Gas reserves dwindle. Plays into the hands of crooks and forces coal plants up and down the eastern half of the US to roar back to life. Coal-fired plants are coming back on line as natural gas prices have risen to the point where coal is actually cheaper but at the expense of our health and our environment. greenpeacesoutheastasia.org Without coal reserves, Energy on the west coast that isn't nuclear or hydropower is generated from Natural Gas. Since Hydropower isn't exactly infinite, perhaps I should start dreaming about nuclear generation, never mind the fact that Greenpeace doesn't like that either and the fact that everyone with the willpower to build a nuke plant can no longer borrow the cash. Yeah, I have to say I was right. But, I also feel like I predicted the end of the world. About the only thing we can do as a nation is start seriously conserving like California is doing now and pray for a mild winter and recycle more aluminum. Since the world fails to revolve around Texas, can my fellow Republicans create an energy policy that doesn't cause an economic Depression?
