G&O prices have had a substantial, steady drop and, when I
last checked, they seem ready to drop further. I don't see
any panic selling, or large volumes. The trusts generally
are not highly liquid so even a small increase in volume
will drive down the prices (or up, thank goodness).

The US determination to neutralize Iraq seems to have
faded a bit with the elections and all the various
countries saying don't do it. Bush and the Rep. winning
handily should bring that back into focus. We have been
getting a war premium of about four dollars a barrel for
oil. There also appears to be more on the spot mkt. but
we'd need someone more knowledgeable than me to confirm
that. (The amazing thing is that a brief notice about
air attacks in Iraq had no effect at all.) Looking at my
portfolio the last couple of days, I think they missed their
target and hit my stocks.
