NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Shareholders of two closed-end funds have filed a lawsuit over rights offerings planned by the funds' investment manager, Aberdeen Asset Managers Ltd.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S District Court for the Eastern District of New York, claims that the proposed rights offerings for the Aberdeen Asia-Pacific Income Fund and the Aberdeen Global Income Fund will negatively impact current shareholders by putting downward pressure on the funds' share price and will cause "substantial dilution" to their holdings.
