Whenever I enter into a discussion on one of these threads I take the time to look back at what a person said in the past so I have at least some idea where this person is coming from. once in the past I made a mistake in a reply to another poster and decided to apologize so I could get on with our discussion . If you had looked back at things I have posted in the past you may have seen where I have said many times that I am non religious and favor none and am equal distance from all. So there appears to be no difference between your stand and mine Re. religion. I stated that there are verses and laws in islam that are stupid and you agreed. You said....." Far be it from me to defend any religion, but let me point out that while I agree with you that all religions have "stupid laws", Islam is by no means singularly egregious in this respect. The western world has been programmed to live and let live when it comes to other religions, we have freedom of religion over here so there was no pressing reason for the west to make a study of islam. World wide islamic terrorism has given us in the west a reason to become less ignorant of the ways of islam and I think we in the west will become much less ignorant of ways islam long before the islamic world has an understanding of our way of life. islam still thinks a pig is unclean.
