NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 2002--Electric Fuel Corporation (NasdaqNM: EFCX), a leader in defense and security products for military and homeland security, announced today that it was awarded a $1 million vehicle armoring contract to armor 30 pre-purchased vehicles.
The Company is not at liberty to disclose the customer.

MDT Protective Industries, a wholly-owned vehicle armoring subsidiary of Electric Fuel Corporation, is a leader in state-of -the art lightweight armoring of vehicles that armors a host of vehicles ranging from light tactical to passenger vehicles. The subsidiary's vehicle armoring business has years of battlefield experience and has provided life-saving protection under the most extreme conditions, which include assault rifles and bomb blasts. With two product lines, the subsidiary has the capacity to armor a significant number of vehicles with a short lead-time.
