Our fees (Variable Asset Charge) just went from 1% to .25%. It sounds like a bonus but I don't know if that applies to all funds.

The one that I had was reasonable...no monthly charges and OK commissions ($30-$50). Not discount rates, but good enough. That is the only time I ever had an active employer related retirement account. At all my other jobs the money just sat in cash until I left and rolled it over into my own retirement account. In general, the choices suck. In fact, the whole things reeks of a big scam to pump up the stock market using other peoples money...
