VTX Announces Launch of PocketJoy .com; Most Advanced Site Ever To Send Full Color Adult Images to Wireless Internet-Ready Phones

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- VTX Inc. announced the launch today of PocketJoy .com, the first website to send full color erotic images to 3G, WAP enabled wireless phones and PDA devices.

The service is compatible with any Internet enabled wireless device in North America, Europe and Japan.

"This is the next step forward for adult entertainment and wireless devices," said Brian Michaels, vice-president of the Las Vegas-based company. "We have signed on many very well known stars in the adult entertainment business. This is the first time high quality adult content has been available for wireless devices in the North American market."

PocketJoy .com is loading new erotic images to the site every week in order for users to be able to access a constantly growing range of adult content, Michaels said. The site also features dirty jokes, news items concerning the adult industry, and porn star bios.

In much the same way that adult content fueled the growth of the Internet, industry experts believe that pornographic content could be the future of the 3G telephone market. In August, the UK newspaper, The Guardian, reported that the IT research company Visiongain has predicted that profit from sales of pornographic material to wireless devices could grow to $4 billion by 2006.

"The dirty little secret that no ones talks about is that adult content has been at the center of nearly every information technology leap for the past 100 years," Michaels said. "As soon as there was celluloid film, there were blue movies. A short time after the VCR was released, the majority of American homes had adult videos. Now, nearly three quarters of all Internet surfers look at adult sites. What does that tell you about the future of 3G phones?"

The site is designed so that if it is accessed by a PC or laptop, users see a full HTML version of the site. Users who connect via a wireless telephone view the WAP version of the site. PDA users, as of today, see the HTML version, although a PDA optimized site is in development, Michaels said.
