Bulls#!t. He surely got favorable treatment, as did many sons of pols and others in positions to gain favors for their sons, but you don't know what you're talking about. He went through basic training, though not OCS, and he went to flight school and was certified in an F-102. He was a guardsman from 1968-1973 and it was only when he was attached to an Alabama unit (5/72-5/73) that "no one could remember him being there", and that was because that unit never held regular drills, so none of them ever did much of anything.
