Now, it can be argued ... It can be argued, and it has been argued, but it's not an accurate portrail. The Reagan budgets were huge from the beginning and had plenty of pork for all. Even the military increases went mostly wasted on the still ludicrous star wars and battleship redeployment pork projects. The rest went to bailing out banks who partnered with land speculators. At least the next deficit increase cannot be argued in any way to be a Democratic congressional project, the age of accountability has hit the Republicans. TP
