That's current policy: preemptive unilateral entry into any country without regard to soveriegnty.

Pure baloney. But then most of your posts are baloney. The Afghan government was given a chance to hand over those criminals. They chose to throw in with them...and they were scattered to the wind for it....a good lesson for the next bunch of assholes who are thinking about makling the same mistake....

Don't give me that crap. You were gung ho in favor of this violation of sovereignty without benefit of declaration of war:
Should Carter also have gotten a declaration of war against Iran before he sent those copters in?
Sovereignty is BS. International rights grow out of a missile silo.

The Founders expressed the foundation of a healthy government is skepticism of it, undeclared wars notwithstanding.
You don't think there's skepticism towards the current gov't? You're reading must be quite limited.

an America acting unilaterally around the world, breaking treaties at will, giving lip service to allies and international institutions while claiming for itself the sole legitimate use of force anywhere, anytime it feels threatened. That is the text and subtext of much of the National Security Strategy report.
They are simply trying to introduce you to reality.

Or as a leftist guru put it, "Power grows out of the barrel of a gun."
Ultimately that's what you rely on.

The League of Nations failed to stop Hitler and Japan. The UN is now volunteering not to stop Saddam.

You can use those institutions up until they fail. THEN YOU DRAW!
