<<<<<<``This is a declaration of war against Qualcomm,'' said Marko Maunula, an analyst at Conventum Securities...>>>>

...Good thing this guy knows more about the patents then NOK, Siemens and ERICY....

This is a quote from Dagens Industri, "WSJ of Sweden":

ERICSSON (ERICb.ST)/NOKIA (NOKI.ST) - China has placed pressure on Ericsson and other manufacturers, which have been forced to unite to maintain a low level of licence fees for their 3G products in WCDMA. For the members of the new alliance it is important to make China's government and operators more positive about the European standard for 3G mobile telephony. Ericsson's China chief Jan Malm says, "There is a war going on. We believe that with this deal we are offering competitive patent fees so that China's industry can use this technology." In addition to Ericsson, Nokia, Siemens, NTT Do Co Mo and other Japanese manufacturers such as NEC are involved in this attack on their North American competitors. (Dagens Industri)

Someone please call TXN and tell them they can resume development now.

Laughing aside, how come 1) we are hearing nothing from them on any CDMA chips and 2) no one in the financial community is questioning TN about this?

Having written this, I think I am going to email TN's IR and ask. Will post any response I get.
